Gift Card FAQ - Currency & Exchange Rates

Q: What currency are gift cards issued in?
A: All gift cards are issued in US Dollars (USD), the same currency used for all artwork pricing at White Cloud Gallery.

Q: I'm purchasing from Canada (or another country). How much will I pay?
A: You'll pay the equivalent amount in your local currency based on the current exchange rate at the time of purchase. For example, a $100 USD gift card might cost approximately $138 CAD, depending on the day's exchange rate.

Q: Will exchange rate changes affect my gift card's value?
A: The gift card balance remains fixed in USD. When you redeem it, both the gift card and artwork prices are converted to your local currency using the current exchange rate. Since both are in USD, a $100 gift card will always cover a $100 artwork, regardless of currency fluctuations.

Q: What if the exchange rate is different when I use my gift card?
A: While the amount in your local currency may differ from what you originally paid, the purchasing power relative to our artwork stays the same. Your gift card maintains its full value for purchasing art from our gallery.

Q: Can I check my gift card balance?
A: Yes! Your gift card balance is always displayed in USD. You can check it at any time using the link provided in your gift card email.

Q: Are there any currency conversion fees when using my gift card?
A: No. Currency conversion fees have already been applied at purchase, so there are no additional fees when redeeming your gift card.
